PUPPY FACTORIES are the cruel hidden industry behind the pet shop window and glossy internet sites. The reality is mother dogs are kept confined and pregnant their entire lives to meet the unceasing demand of the pet industry. When their reproductive life is over, they are killed and replaced. These dogs spend their entire lives confined in dirt pens, in tin sheds or in raised wire cages with little or no veterinary care – they are simply treated as breeding machines. The pet industry’s greatest fear is that you, the consumer, will find out the truth behind this highly lucrative trade. Please help us spread the word and boycott this brutal business. Don’t be an unsuspecting link in the supply chain of cruelty.

Oscar's Law ~ Don't Buy Puppies from Pet Shops
Sunday May 12 2012
This is Granny Giggles. Poppet's mother. Both Poppet and Granny Giggles were rescued from a puppy farm where they had been neglected, abused and left in horrible conditions to breed constantly for profit.
Thankfully they will never spend another Mothers Day again breeding more babies with potential health defects and disease due to lack of care and conduct in these puppy farms. The farm owners don't care about the welfare of these beautiful Mothers. They see them only for the $$$ they can bring in. They are mere machines of profit. This is surely not what God intended.
Some farms will sell themselves as caring, family run, clean places to breed etc. Please don't be mislead by their claims that this is still an ethical way to bring a dog into your life. Read below ~ taken from Oscar's Law webpage:
You can help fight the genocide in Australia's pounds, promote rescue organisations and shelters as the first option to adopting, and change the way Australians gets their pets. Adoption is the intelligent alternative to impulse buying. No puppy factory whether it is 'clean', 'model', 'state of the art' or otherwise is the answer for mans best friend.
We want to wish Granny Giggles a Happy Mothers Day, now she is free to be loved and pampered as all mothers should. She has found lifelong love and freedom with her beautiful Human mama at Saffron on the Hill.
Mothers Day. It is a funny day for us, filled with love in one sense, but it also reminds us of all the dogs, female and male breeding in horrible conditions and how we all need to spread awareness that people can make educated and ethical decisions about where to buy their companion dogs from.

Oscar! As well as his web and Facebook page,
there is now also a Kids Want Oscar's Law Page on Facebook!
Oscar's Law is such an important cause for all to be involved in. KWOL page is designed so parents and children can access information on how to be involved in supporting animal welfare issues in an environment that is child friendly in the language and images that it uses.
Our children have such a great ability to show empathy to animals, and this needs to be encouraged by the adults around them. They should have a place to express their thoughts and feelings and see that they do have an influence on what happens to our companion animals.
Oscar's Law is for ALL people. We can ALL make a difference - whether we are big or small. Sometimes the quietest and smallest voices tell the biggest truths!
For anyone wishing to learn more about the Oscar's Law Cause, please visit the Oscar's Law facebook Page or www.oscarslaw.org
