Paper Tree Designs Giveaway!

Christmas and News Year's celebrations are just around the corner! And with that, comes New Year's Resolutions! Our New Year's Resolution? To be more organised!!!!

Our friends at Paper Tree Designs have sent us a Weekly Planner to help us get more organised. It's  a strong, good quality A3 magnet that goes on the fridge and is perfect for reminders, especially for busy families. There is room for up to 6 family members or alternatively you could incorporate meal planning  or chores onto the whiteboard! We know we will need to learn how to use it to it's full potential! That is what New Year's resolutions are all about and we have the perfect product to kick start our organisation!!!!! The pugs will not be the only ones organised in this family!

We love supporting charitable people in Melbourne, Paper Tree Designs donates $1 from the sale of each planner to World Vision Australia. All donations are matched by the Ausaid project which provides a $5 donation to match their $1 donation which means that by purchasing a Paper Tree Planner you are helping to raise $6 for the Mozambique – Moyo Wathu Changara Community Health Project. This project has a focus on improving quality facility and community- based health service delivery, for over 156,000 people, mainly children under five and women.

Paper Tree Designs have kindly donated one giveaway weekly planner for our readers. Who wants to make a New Years Resolution with us to be more organised?

If you would like to be part of this giveaway all you need to do is follow these 3 simple steps!

1) Like Paper Tree Designs on Facebook ;)
2) Like our Facebook page ;) Keeping her Eye on Melbourne
3) Share your New Year's Resolution on our page - we will contact you for postage details if you are our special winner!

Bayside Spectacular

Pop-Up Store
9 Victoria Ave, Albert Park VIC
Online Store
www.yapwear.com.au

We spent the afternoon bay hopping, enjoying what is
left of the sunshine! It was a beautiful afternoon in
Melbourne!

First stop was Yap Wear in Albert Park. We found out
about Yap Wear through our friends at Saffron on the Hill,
as they are stocking Saffron's amazing collars and leads!
(as seen on display below). Jen from Yap Wear is a huge supporter
of animal welfare charities and rescue groups and displays many
posters and postcards about puppy farms as well as stocking
Oscar's Law Bandanas.

Saffron Collars @ Yap Wear store
We ordered Gypsy and Poppet each a vintage denim coat
for winter visits to cafes and restaurants. We will be sure
to update you on their new look when we visit Jen @
Yap Wear again!

If you have a four-legged family member who you love to
take with you everywhere, be sure to check out Yap Wear's
amazing range of coats for winter! They are proudly
Australian Made!

Sandown St Beach, Brighton VIC

Next stop was the Sandown St Beach for dogs in Brighton.
It is completely fenced and off-leash all year round.
The water is shallow so great for dogs who love to play
in puddles and splash but not swim ie Gypsy!
The girls had a ball exploring their surrounds.

City views from Sandown St Beach

Weeeeeee I love the beach!

I'm a Where's Wally at this beach!
I'm the same colour as the sand!

Splish splash!

At the top of the sandy hill! Look at me!

Hey! What are you guys up to?

Gypsy checking out all the sailing boats!

Oh I am just too cute. Yes. I know it.

Cafe Sweethearts & Scoutabout ~ South Melbourne

Café Sweethearts

263 Coventry St
South Melbourne
(03) 9690 6752

Today, we decided to visit our friends on Saffron on the Hill. First stop though, was a quick visit to South Melbourne. Coventry St is such a lovely strip and has many dog-friendly cafes on and just off Coventry St. We were glad to secure an outside table at Café Sweethearts.

This cafe has an amazing egg selection (try the Eggs Polenta!) though today we were just after a quick meal so opted for organic porridge.
One with banana and coconut, the other with mixed berries, honey and coconut.

South Melbourne Street Fair
http://www.scoutabout.com.au/

Scoutabout ~ South Melbourne's Street Fair was kicking off at 11am and there was an exciting buzz developing as stall holders starting setting up and promoting their businesses. We supported the Port Phillip Walking Woof Club who were selling home baked dog treats.

There were many dogs out and about this morning in South Melbourne ;-)

Zonked after a big day!

Saffron on the Hill

Gypsy bought this beautiful collar from 'Saffron on the Hill'.
Their small business is 100% about raising funds for the rescue dogs at 'Sanctuary on the Hill', which is based in Loch, Victoria. They do not have a 'not fo profit' status so this store raises much needed funds to continue helping their lovely dogs.
All profits go straight towards vet work, care and rehabilitation of rescue dogs at 'Sanctuary on the Hill'.

Gypsy modelling her new gorgeous collar ;-)

Just a few of the special collars available.

Airborne EARS! Gypsy playing at home after her big day out
(she is now snoring ~ pooped!)

Please visit our link button on our blog panel to 'Saffron on the Hill' and familiarise yourselves with the amazing pugs that are rehabilitated and cared for at Sanctuary on the Hill. We saw lots of looks of love not fear today during our visit. This is not an automatic response, but it is due to the hours, sometimes months and years of love, dedication and physical and emotional rehabilitation Karen and all her foster team gives to each and every pug breed that is rescued.

Thank-you Karen for an amazing day out at 'Sanctuary on the Hill'.
Please support this worthy cause.
