National Swap Day

 ~ Melbourne ~
Monday October 17
6:30pm-8:30pm
BMW Edge. Federation Square

National Swap Day was such a success last year, that The Clothing Exchange have decided to do it all over again. This year they are collaborating with 3things by Oxfam, Fitted for WorkEthical Clothing Australia and PlanBig.

So, how does it work?

Step 1. Raid your wardrobe for up to 6 garments or accessories you think others will value but that you no longer wear.

Step 2. Arrive at ‘check-in’ where your garments are reviewed and counted. For each garment given, you receive one button which you’ll use later to buy another garment in return. While the other participants check in, relax and catch up with your girlfriends! Please note: they screen all garments at the door to uphold the quality of swaps for the enjoyment of all.

Step 3. After check-in has concluded, they officially open ‘shop’ to ensure that every guest has a fair hunt!

Step 4. After finding an armful of ‘new’ garments, guests proceed to the check-out where you pay in buttons for your ‘new’ wardrobe.

  1. Wowee! What a great idea. Of course my momma wears her clothes until they disintegrate. Hehehe.

Thanks for sending good thoughts to my pal Rusty. I know he is getting them.
